I'm not sure if you've ever visited the TED website - it's basically an ideas proliferation site complete with inspiring videos from writers, producers, scientists, theologians, etc. I thought of your world as a writer when watching this clip from <A HREF="http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/view/id/205" REL="nofollow">J.J. It's easy to justify the price, which is only marginally more expensive than the better box-store chairs, on comfort alone.
